My name is Callie and I’m a Soma therapist. As a dancer, a weight lifter and a personal trainer, I've been interested and actively involved in movement and motion for most of my life. Being able to work with so many different people of various ages, abilities and interests, I've noticed amazing things about the way people move. What I’ve seen not only offers fascinating clues into what someone’s body is physically experiencing but also provides insights into that person’s mental, emotional and spiritual health. Because of personal injuries that I could not find a resolution for, I found somatic therapy and realized it’s benefits. It is not a cure all but it has allowed me to help myself heal, to settle my own nervous system, to reset after a slip on the ice or a tough work out and as a result inspired me to help others do the same.
Why a soma therapist?
It can help with

Learning to move more efficiently, increases the energy available for everyday life. Thus, making movement more enjoyable and more sustainable.

Training your muscles to contract and relax fully, restores function, reduces pain, and provides more blood flow to joints.
Mobility:
Efficient movement allows for a greater range of motion, improved confidence in daily activities, greater flexibility.
Stress:
Take back control of how you feel, how available you are for relaxation, and ultimately how you handle the daily stressors in life.
